Reviews
Wonderful cottage located in a beautiful location. The house was very spacious, comfortable and high-spec throughout. A really great base to explore the area. It was everything we wanted. Host was extremely responsive and helpful.
It’s also handily located near three excellent pubs with great food: I’d strongly recommend dinners/lunches at the Bulls Head (Craswell), Bridge Inn (Michealchurch) and The Crown (Pantygelli).

Place is amazingly beautiful. It has everything one needs for a peaceful and relaxing stay.
Game room kept us busy on rainy days and recommended places by Sophia kept us going when it was not raining.Sophia is a great host – she is super responsive, helpful and kind. We had a great time because the place was great and host was superb. She even ensured we had basics sorted – such as milk as we were arriving on a Sunday evening when most shops would be closed. Lovely cupcakes excited our kids – very thoughtful.
Thanks for everything , Sophia – we had a great time and would love to visit again.

Beautiful house and location. Very spacious for 6 people. All the bedrooms were a good size with plenty of storage. Lovely surprise to find a welcome hamper in the kitchen and extra goodies in the fridge on arrival. We had 2 teenagers with us and they loved the games room and jacuzzi. It was lovely to light the fire in the evenings and play some boards games from the selection in the house. Everything was thoughtfully planned out, from robes and flip flops for the jacuzzi, games, blankets in case you felt cold and many more. Would definitely recommend and would love to go back another time

We had the most wonderful stay at Tri Afon. The place was spotless and well equipped, all whilst having a lovely homely feel to it. The welcome hamper and personal touches didn’t go unnoticed. There are beautiful walks on the doorstep and a gorgeous little pub down the road. The hot tub and games room was great about a day hiking!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend!August 2024, Chloe
Tri Afon was oozing with character. The house was spotless clean when we arrived. There was a delicious hamper waiting for us in the kitchen and a homemade cup cake for each of us. There were so many extra touches, dressing robes and flip flops for the hot tub, a picnic rug and a wonderful homemade wooden crook to hike with, which I put to use on an amazing hike over Offas Dyke. We played tennis at a local tennis club in Crickhowell, and had one of our best rated meals as a family at the Bulls Head.
We had a family competition night in the Games room with a barbecue outside.
Our dogs were comfortable and it was definitely a home from a home for all of us.Lots of memories were made and we definitely would like to return.

We had a fantastic stay at Sophia’s home. It’s a beautiful home and perfect for a relaxing family getaway. The local pub and shop are a short walk away and the surrounding area is a beautiful place for a trip. We would absolutely recommend a stay at Sophia’s home.

Lovely, meticulously finished and well-provided home away from home. Views of the mountains all around, particularly good from the upstairs bedroom windows. Just a few moments to walk to village pub and shop and indeed lots of hill-walking options straight out of the door. Highly recommend Crickhowell and Hay-on-Wye for driving daytrips; Llanthony Priory for walk (or drive) and yes, pub-style lunches; and the Kilpeck Inn (bit of a drive) for posh pub grub.

Absolutely beautiful 😍 with stunning views and a log fire and hottub to top it off! Remote cottage with everything you need for an escape from reality but with wifi !! Loved spending quality time with friends, playing board games, going for walks, bubbling away in the hot tub and watching movies infront on the log fire. What more could you want!!
